WCHL Player Makes NHL News!

The Wolf Pack / Michigan Mustangs Tristan Parent made headlines this past week! At the 2022 PowerHockey Summer Showcase, Parent was able to pull of the phenomenal play called "The Michigan".  The NHL took notice to this incredible play and posted it on their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts! The clip then went viral and was posted by several other hockey social media accounts such as Bardown, Spittin' Chiclets, USA Hockey, and more! Congratulations to Tristan Parent on this amazing play and accomplishment. This is a huge moment of recognition for both the WCHL and sport of PowerHockey!

"The Michigan" is a hockey trick that consists of scooping up the puck with the blade of the stick and tucking it into the net. It is done entirely from behind the net where the player picks up the puck and, in one continuous move, tucks the puck in the top corner of the goal. It has been brought back to popularity of late as NHL rookie superstar Trevor Zegras has pulled it off multiple times in game this past season.
