2025-26 Week Nine Results
The Chargers and Knights traded punches early in a fast-paced opening frame. Kevin Konfara opened the scoring for the Chargers, but Anthony Theuer answered back for the Knights as the teams went back and forth. Brent Severance found the scoresheet for the Chargers, while Theuer struck again to keep things tight. After a busy first period with chances both ways, the game remained deadlocked as both goaltenders settled in.
The middle frame belonged to the Chargers’ attack. Konfara completed his hat trick and continued to pressure the Knights defense, while Zeljko Sreckovic added a key goal to push the Chargers ahead. Marty Witberg and Theuer responded for the Knights to keep them within reach, but the Chargers carried momentum late in the period. Despite the surge, both goalies stayed busy, each facing a steady stream of shots as the game remained within striking distance.
The Knights pushed hard in the third, with Theuer and Michael Crider generating offense to close the gap, but the Chargers answered every challenge. Konfara added more insurance, and Sreckovic chipped in again as the Chargers held firm down the stretch. Both Josh Cueter and Brendan Nienhaus finished the night facing 32 shots apiece, but it was the Chargers who closed out the final minutes to secure the 10–8 win.
